Chanel+Justin // Never Give Up

Once upon a time, there were two best friends who swore their future children would never date each other. Good thing God had other plans 🙂

This is definitely one of my favorite films I had the honor of putting together this year. Funnel cake truck, floating lanterns- this wedding had it all. But most importantly, it’s a love story that begins from the love of two best friends who will always be bonded through the marriage of their children.  Both sets of best friends eventually become a family… I can’t think of anything sweeter than that!

Akeisha + Preston // My Forever

It’s that walk down the aisle that really gets to me at a wedding- and for many reasons. It’s the last moment before a girl turns into a bride, the last moment before a man turns into a husband, and it’s the last moment a father will be the most important man in his daughter’s life. So much can change in such a short distance and during Akeisha and Preston’s wedding, all of the guests could feel the emotionally charged moment.

Ali + Bazigha // Hide Yo Kids, Hide Yo Wives, and Hide Yo Cats…

My favorite love stories are when the couple start out as friends. In the case of Ali and Bazigha, they were friends for 6 years! It took a while for the stars to align but when they finally did, their relationship was unstoppable. Within a matter of months, they were engaged, and only 6 months later did they marry. She described the whole experience as “kismet” where it all culminated to their beautiful wedding day and we were so honored to be a part of it.

This was our first Pakistani/Indian wedding held at the gorgeous Longview Mansion. Lavish and opulent are just a few words that come to mind when I describe the decorum of the ceremony… it was a visual feast! However, my personal favorite highlight of the day were the reception speeches. Their mutual friend shared some hilarious memories of the two and I hope you enjoy this highlight video as he tells a bit of their story.

Ryan + Jinny // To One Person You May Be the World

A wedding reception at a fantastic bed and breakfast… a combination of charm and elegance.

Ryan and Jinny’s wedding took place about an hour outside of Kansas City but it might as well have been considered a destination wedding to me.  Roads to the secluded bed and breakfast took me through a foggy and dense forest, but once I reached the Orchard Hill Bed and Breakfast, I fell in love immediately.   Pear orchards surrounded the white tents that would host over 100 guests and Ryan and Jinny could not have been happier to finally get married.  I’ll let Ryan’s best man tell you their story- a story also both charming and elegant.

Nicole + George // Let Love Build Your House

I was asked to shoot this wedding as a surprise gift by the mother of the bride, Sharon- who welcomed me instantly with a big hug. The whole churched buzzed with excitement in anticipation for the final union between Nicole and George. Emotions overflowed from both the bride and the groom during the exchange of their vows and it even got me holding back a tear or two! Nicole and George are such a charming and elegant couple and I’m so blessed to have put this video together for them. They are a true testament of God’s blessing when we seek Him first. Congratulations George and Nicole!

Rebecca Foster Cakes // Crazy Love

I was drawn to Rebecca’s boutique cake shop just by driving past it every time I went to visit my brother.  Her cakes can be seen through the store front window and you’re immediately intrigued by the tiers of art she creates with fondant and icing.  She makes flowers of all kinds edible and delectable!

Iced Art // This Is My Dream

I never had an affinity for cake… that is until I met Michelle Rice.  When you walk into her shop, your nose is greeted with the sweet fragrances of cake batter and the different flavors she offers, including her famous guava cake!  She draws inspiration from her Hawaiian culture and music she can’t work without.  Some artists use paint.  Michelle paints with icing.
